Psychological and Social Support Programs
Mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables a person to cope with the stresses of life, fulfill their potential, learn well, function, and contribute to their community. Mental health is an integral part of overall health and well-being that underlies our individual and collective abilities to make decisions, build relationships and shape the world in which we live. Mental health is a basic human right. It is important for personal, social, and economic development. Mental health does not mean the absence of mental problems, but the ability to adapt and solve problems.
There are many factors that affect an individual’s mental health such as environmental, social, economic, and biological factors. For example, social and economic pressures, rapid social changes and working conditions, and occupational pressures affect the level of mental health. Psychological awareness programs and psychotherapy involve providing appropriate conditions and environments for mental health support that cause individuals to change their way of thinking and lifestyle to protect and reduce mental stress. Through its objectives and mechanisms, this program aims to make an active contribution to the individual’s ability to move towards mental health and overcome his mental problems.
